A long time ago, back when most people couldn't read or write and they
still hunted and gathered their food, two groups of aliens visited the earth in
their spaceships. One group enjoyed how silly the humans were. Their jokes and
silly dances made them laugh. They had a creature on their planet just like
that called a dog. So they gave dogs to humans as a gift to watch over the
humans and help them hunt and make them laugh. The other group of aliens
admired the humans independence, because they didn't want the aliens to come
fix everything. They wanted to figure it out for themselves. So these aliens
gave the humans the gift of cats. The cats killed off the rodents which reduced
the spread of disease amongst the humans, so they could live longer lives and
accomplish more. They built giant pyramids and enormous cities and started to
grow their own food.
